We found a cracked socket on one of our full once-over health checks on electrics in Downswood, Maidstone

This client came to use wanting some extra sockets. In order to provide extra sockets, we first needed to upgrade the fusebox, and in order to do that, we needed to at least carry out a minimum standard health check on electrics (EICR). We ended up recommending a full scope, full once over health check on electrics for this customer who admittedly had been in this property since it was built (1960's) and had never had a health check on the electrics. Alongside this cracked socket, we may have found approximately 10 other non-conformances that would be coded as C2s in the electrical world. C2s, for the general public, means something is wrong and although it isn't immediately dangerous, danger could arise if we don't take steps to prevent it from happening.
