One of two sibling extractor fans after we had fitted them back together following a service visit
The extractor fan we had taken down for a service
The broken actuator arm we found and attempted a repair on
The actuator arm which rotates at a pivot to open the extractor fan shutters

In the main hall there are 2 large fans, both of which are having issues with their shutters.

After a quick disassembly of both fans we found:

Perhaps one of the shutter assemblies had become dislodged

The other shutter assembly was quite stiff to move and required lubrication.
The solenoid arm of said shutter assembly (piston, actuator arm) had also snapped.

And a few quick repairs, we've managed to bring at least one fan back to full working condition, with the other one requiring monitoring after our visit after the solvent weld glue we applied had gone off nicely.

All in all a great morning and a pleasure to have worked in a local community building.
